What is Erectile Dysfunction? Reasons?

Erectile dysfunction is inability to keep or develop an erection of penis during intercourse.  Many people still believe that it is due to physical reasons such as regular body wearing process, but not due to any psychological or personality problems. How erection happens?

Developing or holding erection is depends on the proper blood and nerve supply to the genital organs. Generally, a sex stimulus activates the nerves that help in the dilatation of blood vessels, which in turn will allow more flow of blood in to the veins of corpora cavernosa (Sponge like shafts surrounding the penis). Valves inside the blood vessel prevent the back flow of the blood, so the hardness will be maintain until the removal of sexual stimulus.

How Ayurveda helps?

Ayurveda, the science of life, prevention and longevity, is the oldest and most holistic and comprehensive medical system available. Its fundamentals can be found in Ancient Indian scriptures called the Vedas – the ancient Indian books of wisdom written over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda uses the inherent principles of nature to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual’s body, mind, and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature.

Vajikarana is one of the eight major specialties of Ayurveda. (Astanga Ayurveda) Vajikarana is “a process or a drug, which make a man sexually as strong as a horse and able to copulate for long and frequently with many wives and partners.” Vajikarana prescribes the therapeutic use of various aphrodisiacs and tonic preparations for enhancing the reproductive capabilities and vigor of men while strengthening the body and overall well-being.

Vajikarana therapy combine a proprietary herbal formula based on centuries old ayurvedic wisdom with advice on diet, exercise, mental training, and relaxation to help men reach their peak and overcome sexual concerns through safe, natural means.
