Major Drawbacks
While there exist no major drawback of using turmeric as an anti-inflammatory, it must be avoided in case of diseases like stomach ulcers. Before taking turmeric, you must seek advice from a doctor in case if you have diabetes or gall bladder issues. Pregnant women are also recommended to refrain from taking the supplemental strength turmeric, however, it can be used as a spice.
Turmeric can react with several drugs so it is always advisable to check with a doctor while taking it with other type of medications.
